Anne's Story

In the Fall, Anne and her husband Tim were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child. Anne was under observation as she was two weeks overdo and the couple was excited but scared.
The Labor & Delivery Team at Headwaters carefully monitored Anne and the baby.
Anne and Tim were filled with questions and the team carefully answered each one. Anne recalls “We never felt as though we were bothering them or annoying them. I remember the nurses just sitting with us and going over different things. Even at 3:00 in the morning they were so knowledgeable and patient.”
In September, the couple welcomed a healthy, happy baby girl, named Abigail.
Becoming a parent can be an exciting but also overwhelming time – small comforts go a long way. Tim would go to the Cafeteria each morning for an omelet. “We loved the food and the staff in the Cafeteria was awesome” recalled Anne.
For Anne, the part of her journey that really had the greatest impact was how the nursing team took time to get to know their patients. “I never felt like a number” said Anne.
