Headwaters Health Care Centre Hosts Community Vaccine Clinics
With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases across the province, and with a recent confirmation of a supply of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, we will be extending our vaccination efforts to support our community. We will be hosting two vaccination clinics onsite that will be open to anyone wishing to receive a first, second or third dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
Our community vaccine clinics will be held on
December 29 & 30 from 8:30am – 4pm in our Ambulatory Care Registration Area. Doses will be administered by appointment only using the
provincial portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at
1-833-943-3900 to book over the phone. This line is available 8:00 am to 8:00 pm 7 days a week.
First and second dose vaccinations will be open to anyone born in 2016 or earlier. Third doses are available to individuals aged 18 and over. This is in alignment with the
Province’s COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution Plan.
Those arriving for a vaccination appointment will access the hospital using our Ambulatory Care Entrance where they will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, provided with personal protective equipment as well as direction to our registration area.
Plans are underway to host additional clinics in the weeks and months ahead; we will share more information once it becomes available.
As a reminder, our COVID-19 Assessment Centre remains open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10am – 6pm and Tuesday, Thursday from 12 – 8pm. Details are available on our
website.
Effective January 8, 2022 we will be increasing our COVID-19 Assessment Centre hours to include Saturdays from 8am – 4pm.
Thank you.
